Flash the firmware to your M5StickC Plus, Plus2, or M5StickS3 straight from this page. No PlatformIO, no command line — just a USB-C cable and a Chrome-based browser on a computer.
1 · Pick your device
The M5StickC Plus build is validated on real hardware. The
Plus2 and S3 builds are compile-verified and code-reviewed but
not yet confirmed on a physical device — if you flash one, please
open an issue with how it went.
2 · Before you click
Use Chrome, Edge, or Opera on a desktop/laptop (Web Serial isn't supported on Safari, Firefox, or phones).
Plug the device into your computer with a USB-C data cable (some cables are charge-only — if nothing connects, try another cable).
If your computer doesn't see the device, install the CP210x USB driver and reconnect. (The M5StickS3 connects over native USB and usually needs no driver.)
Your browser can't flash over USB. Open this page in desktop Chrome, Edge, or Opera.Flashing needs a secure (https) connection.
When the dialog opens, pick the serial port (often labelled CP2104 / USB Serial on a Plus/Plus2, or USB JTAG/serial on an S3) and choose Install.
3 · After flashing
The device reboots into a SHARPENING GUIDE splash, then a SET TARGET screen. (If you see a red WRONG FIRMWARE screen, you flashed the build for a different stick — go back and pick the matching device.)
Stick it onto your knife's flat (these sticks have a magnet in the back) and follow the on-screen calibration.
